GRAND LEDGE MARCHING INVITATIONAL

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7TH

Call-time: 4:00pm

Bus departs: 5:00pm

Performance time: 7:18pm

Return home: 10:30pm(ish)

PARKING

Grand Ledge is asking spectators to park across the bridge near Beagle Middle School and the softball complex. A limited number of spaces will be available near GLHS. All vehicles must enter campus through the M-43 roundabout. Vehicles will not be permitted to enter from Jenne Street, with the exception of those needing handicap accessible parking.

Spectators may have a considerable walk from the parking areas to the stadium. Those who arrive shortly before our scheduled performance may miss it, so please plan on arriving early.

SEATING With thousands of attendees and the MSU Spartan Marching Band performing the finale, it is essential that patrons not sit in any seats labeled “Band Seating.” These seats are reserved for student performers so they can see the show and transition safely. If space allows within our band’s assigned section, families may sit with our students; however, please do not use another band’s assigned section. Thank you for helping us prevent congestion, keep aisles clear, and preserve student sightlines.

POST PERFORMANCE Our plan is to stay after our performance and watch the remaining bands (and the Spartan Marching Band). This will make for a long night, but it is such a great opportunity for the students to watch other groups that they would normally not be able to within our traditional MSBOA division. Of course it’s always nice for our band to be able to cheer on our alumni that are currently marching in the SMB!!! If you would like to take your student home after the performance, please fill out the attached release form and return it to me as soon as possible. Otherwise, you should expect your students to be back to the high school around 10:30pm.
